A 54-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison by a Homa Bay court on Friday for defiling an 11-year-old girl almost four years prior.
In August 2020, Samuel Odie appeared before Ndhiwa Law Courts Resident Magistrate Murangasia and was indicted with the offense in Luanda village.
Six witnesses were called by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), under the direction of Moses Okerosi, to testify against the defendants in the case.
The testimony of the witnesses supported the case beyond a reasonable doubt, the court decided.
