Applications are now being accepted for 65 available posts in the Ministry of Agriculture’s various departments.

The ministry is hiring 10 lab technicians, 16 animal health assistants, and 21 animal husbandry assistants, according to an advertisement published on January 30.

Five housekeeping assistance, six leather development assistants, and seven livestock production assistants are also required.

The positions come within job groups D and G and are categorized under the Civil Service Grades (CSG) 13–16.

Applications must be submitted by interested and eligible individuals using a single PSC 2 form (Revised 2016).

“The form may be downloaded from the Public Service Commission website www.publicservice.go.ke.,” reads the notice issued by Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke.

“Completed application form should be sent to the Principal Secretary State Department for Livestock Development-Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, PO Box 34188-00100 Nairobi or hand delivered to the HRM&D Registry, Kilimo House, 2nd-floor room 2-17 on or before February 12, 2024, by 5:00 pm,” it further states.

The application process has extended an invitation to women, individuals with disabilities, marginalized groups, and minorities who meet the requirements.

The notice further states that during the interview, those who have been shortlisted must present original, official certifications.

The advertisement lists a number of benefits that successful candidates will receive, including housing, leave, and commuting allowances, which include a 30-day leave entitlement.
