Elgeyo Marakwet: Two women shot dead by bandits

Two women were fatally shot by alleged bandits on the Tot-Koloa road in Elgeyo Marakwet County on Thursday evening.

The victims were riding a motorbike after departing from Koloa Market when they were ambushed by the attackers in close proximity to the market.

Reports indicate that the assailants opened fire on the motorbike before escaping the scene. The motorbike’s driver, who was also involved in the incident, is currently unaccounted for.

Security forces have initiated an investigation into the matter, with ongoing efforts to locate the missing driver and capture the individuals responsible for the attack.
