Sources close to the investigations claim that on Friday night, Joan—wearing only a red t-shirt—met Lawrence Gitonga at one of the entertainment spots on Mirema Drive in Roysambu.

A few hours later, Lawrence and Joan were spotted dropping off a friend on their way to the White House Apartments. From there, they went to a nearby pub and kept drinking in his car.

The two arrived at the 10th-floor short-stay apartment they had reserved at 3:00 in the morning on Saturday. It is now unclear what transpired in the room.

Images of the scene show bloodstained sheets and smeared blood on the walls and floor of the bathroom; it’s possible that there was a struggle or that the man sought refuge after being stabbed.
