Makadara Court Official Arrested For Soliciting Ksh.400K Bribe

An officer from the Makadara Law Courts has been placed under arrest after allegedly soliciting a Ksh. 400,000 bribe to hasten the printing and release of court proceedings pertaining to the complaint’s file.

A court assistant named Abdifatah Mahumud Hassan was taken into custody by police after they obtained Ksh.50,000 of the required sum.

“At the time of the arrest, he had received and downpayment of Kes.50,000 and was due to receive the balance when detectives pounced,” stated EACC.

At present, the suspect is being held at the Kilimani Police Station.

Before being arraigned, he is anticipated to be processed at the EACC Police Station today.
