Crystal Palace’s bid of £18.5 million for Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton has been rejected.

Since making his Championship club debut in August 2022, the 19-year-old Blackburn native has made 44 appearances.

He extended his contract in December till the conclusion of the 2027–2028 campaign.

This season, Palace has been keeping an eye on him; Tottenham, Newcastle, and Everton are also rumored to have shown interest in the young player.

At Blackburn, the England under-20 international plays alongside his elder brother, Scott.

Crystal Palace is now 15th in the Premier League and has only won one of their last 12 games across all competitions.

The ownership of the club sparked protests from fans over the weekend.
