President Ruto Launches Phase Two of NYOTA Youth Empowerment Project in Eldoret

President William Ruto is set to launch the second phase of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project today in Eldoret, marking a major boost for youth entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

The event will take place at Eldoret Sports Club and will also serve as a funds disbursement exercise for successful youth applicants who qualified under the programme.

50,000 Youth to Receive NYOTA Funds

According to the Ministry of Cooperatives, approximately 50,000 beneficiaries will receive financial support under Phase Two of the NYOTA Project.

Each beneficiary will receive:

  • Ksh 22,000 deposited directly into their NYOTA mobile wallet
  • Ksh 3,000 deposited into their National Social Security Fund (NSSF) savings account

The initiative is designed to help young people start or grow small businesses while encouraging a culture of savings and long-term financial security.

The first phase of disbursement under this launch will cover youth from the following counties:

  • Uasin Gishu
  • Elgeyo Marakwet
  • Nandi
  • Trans-Nzoia
  • Turkana
  • West Pokot

Thousands of young entrepreneurs from the region are expected to attend the event.

  • Nakuru
  • Narok
  • Bomet
