Nakuru: 8 Killed After Van Rammed Into Stalled Truck

An early Tuesday morning traffic accident at Nakuru County’s Ngata Bridge claimed the lives of eight persons.

Around 5:30 a.m., a van collided with a stalled truck on the Nakuru-Nairobi highway, resulting in the accident.

Six adults and two children’s remains were recovered from the debris by first responders, according to eyewitnesses.

According to a police preliminary assessment, the private vehicle was transporting more than fifteen persons to Kisii for an event.

As reported by authorities, as of seven in the morning, there was only one confirmed survivor a woman with fractured legs.

The truck had reportedly been stuck there for the previous three days, according to witnesses.

The incidence was confirmed by County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi, who also stated that the bodies had been transported to Nakuru Annex Funeral Home.
