A 45-year-old man was detained by Homa Bay police on Tuesday after he allegedly defiled his 14-year-old daughter in Andingo village.
Before being charged, the suspect is being held at the Ndhiwa police station until the police and children services department get a medical report.
Chief Samson Owili of the area claims that the culprit has been defiling the fifth-grader in his bed at night.
According to Owili, the man and his wife had split up, and he defiled the daughter when the wife was away.
The administrator clarified that the girl had been fleeing from the house to protect herself from the father’s defilement. When she arrived at school on Monday, the teachers questioned her about why she never shows up. She informed them of what had been going on at home.
The pupil has been brought to the hospital, where he will undergo testing prior to the suspect being charged.
