Authorities reported that four people lost their lives and several others sustained serious injuries after a vehicle overturned in the Wakhungu area of Nangina ward, Funyula constituency, Busia County.
Police indicated that the vehicle, which belonged to Sugar Zone Sacco and was traveling from Bumala town towards Port Victoria, allegedly burst its front tyre. As a result, the driver lost control, leading to the fatal crash.
It was confirmed that the deceased included the driver, a woman, and two men. The injured were taken to Nangina Mission Hospital for treatment.
