A man from Nyandarua has received a life sentence after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. The ruling was delivered by Engineer Chief Magistrate L. Atamba on Thursday.
David Kimani Njuguna was also handed an additional 40-year sentence for two separate charges of inflicting serious harm on the girl and a 3-year-old boy.
In his ruling, Atamba emphasized that the evidence presented in court clearly established the defendant’s guilt for the crime committed on May 27, 2024, in Matura village, located in the Magumu area of Nyandarua county.
Kimani, who lived nearby, carried out the assault while the victims were in a grazing field.
Additionally, he is facing charges in a separate case involving the death of a 2-year-old boy named Brian Kinyua, with the judgment for that case scheduled for April.
