Authorities have initiated investigations into the recent and perplexing murder of a young woman, whose remains were discovered abandoned near the Lang’ata Cemetery in Nairobi.
In this unsettling case, the woman’s body was found in a dense area, partially clothed and bearing multiple stab wounds.
The family of the deceased, identified as Nancy Boke Chacha, reported her missing prior to receiving a distressing notification from the police regarding her death.
Detectives from the Nairobi region, along with officers from the Langa’ta Police Station, meticulously searched the surrounding forest for potential evidence.
Initial findings indicated that she had been sexually assaulted and strangled. Nearby her body were her undergarments, a sharp knife, and an identification card.
The scene suggested a possible altercation had taken place. However, law enforcement officials have stated that it remains uncertain whether the murder occurred in proximity to the cemetery or if she was killed elsewhere and subsequently abandoned in the thicket.
Forensic analysis has confirmed the identity of the victim as 23-year-old Nancy Boke Chacha.
Investigators are now retracing Boke’s final moments to identify her companions prior to the murder and to map her last movements.
Her remains are currently being held at the Nairobi Funeral Home, pending an autopsy, as a manhunt for the individuals responsible begins.
