According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, social media platform X had problems late on Tuesday, with over 36,500 reports in the United States during the height of the outage.
As of 11:20 PM ET, Downdetector—a tracking tool for outages—showed 1,600 complaints of outages in the UK and over 3,300 reports of outages in Canada based on a compilation of status data from various sources, including users.
As of now, the outage’s reason is unknown.
When Reuters reached out to X for comment after regular business hours, X did not immediately respond.
