The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) on Friday officially released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.
In a major shift from previous years, candidates will not be able to access their results via SMS. Instead, results will be available exclusively online through the KNEC website.

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba announced that candidates can access their results through a link on the KNEC website or directly via:
To check results, candidates must:

“Individual 2025 KCSE candidates’ examination results will be accessed online through a link on the KNEC website,” CS Ogamba said.
The results became available immediately after their official release at AIC Chebisas High School in Eldoret.
Results Queries and Deadlines
KNEC clarified that all result-related queries must be submitted through school heads within 30 days of the release.
“Queries lodged after 30 days will attract a fee. Congratulations to all the candidates,” the KNEC CEO said.
New System for KCSE Certificate Collection
To address longstanding concerns over withheld certificates, the Ministry of Education has introduced a new system allowing candidates to collect KCSE certificates from sub-county education offices instead of their former schools.
KCSE 2025 Exam Overview
- Total candidates: 993,000
- Examination period: October 21 – November 14, 2025
