Journalist Janet Mbugua is making a return to the media after an eight-year hiatus. She will be joining Nation Media Group (NMG).

The announcement was made by Simaloi Dajom, the Head of Broadcasting at NMG, who praised Mbugua for her talent in connecting with audiences.

“I am thrilled to share that the well-known media figure, Janet Mbugua, has joined Nation Media Group.

“Janet excels in engaging audiences through TV, Radio, and Digital media,” she stated.

Mbugua’s last role in media was at Citizen TV under Royal Media Services, where she served as a prime-time news anchor alongside Hussein Mohamed.

She also hosted shows and produced content.

Additionally, she has experience with media organizations in South Africa.

“Janet advocates for inclusivity for women and girls and is dedicated to promoting voices for social change. She will be part of a dynamic team focused on providing engaging, solution-oriented content across our multimedia platforms.”

Later, Mbugua founded the Inua Dada Foundation, a non-profit that supports primary school girls in Kenya by identifying barriers to learning and collaborating with partners to create lasting solutions.

She joins others like Eric Latiff, who recently left Spice FM at the Standard Group to join NMG.
