The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced the availability of six job openings.

In a notice published in Tuesday’s edition of My Gov, KNEC is seeking qualified, self-driven candidates for the position of Examination Officer – KNEC Grade 7.

KNEC has stated that a competitive salary package will be provided, commensurate with the responsibilities of the role, under a one-year contract.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete and submit the Application for Employment Form KNEC 2A for external applicants and Form KNEC 2B for internal applicants.

Additionally, applicants must include a cover letter along with certified copies of their academic and professional qualifications.

Candidates should ensure their CVs are detailed, including daytime contact numbers, email addresses, current salary (with a copy of the latest payslip), and the names and current contact information of three referees.

All application materials must be submitted by January 28, 2025.

In a related announcement, Kenya Railways has posted 16 job openings, including positions for General Manager of Rail Operations, General Manager of Finance, Manager of Insurance Services, Rail Safety Manager, and Revenue Assurance & Credit Control Manager.

Other available roles include Procurement Manager, Passenger Services Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager, Strategy & Corporate Planning Manager, QMS & Risk Coordination Manager, and Manager of Civil Engineering.

Additional positions are for Manager of Signaling, Electrical & Communication, Technical Audit Manager, Marine Operations Manager, Deputy Director of Finance & Corporate Services, and Deputy Director of Research & Business Development.

Kenya Railways has specified that interested and qualified individuals must fill out the Kenya Railways application form KR/HR/08, which can be found on its website, and attach their testimonials, certified copies of certificates, identification, and CV.

Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

KR has stated that the specifics regarding duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for each position can be found on its website: www.krc.co.ke.

Applicants are instructed to include the Job reference number on both the envelope and the application letter.

Each applicant must submit a signed application letter along with a comprehensive CV that details current and previous employment, positions held, educational background, current and expected salary, notice period for appointment, and the names of at least three professional referees.

Additionally, applicants are required to provide certified copies of their academic and professional certificates, as well as a certified copy of their ID or valid passport.

KR emphasized that successful candidates must meet the requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by providing the necessary clearance certificates.

These certificates include a valid Good Conduct certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a current clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and a current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) is also seeking to hire a Senior Director of Clinical Services.
