Denzel Dumfries scored both goals as Inter Milan won 2-0 against Atalanta on Thursday in Riyadh, securing a spot in the Italian Super Cup final.
The Dutch player gave the Serie A champions the lead just four minutes into the second half with an impressive close-range goal.
Dumfries added his second with a powerful shot from the edge of the box an hour into the match, ensuring Inter’s place in the final on January 6 against either Juventus or AC Milan.
Juventus, last season’s Italian Cup winners, will face Milan on Friday in the second semi-final of the four-team tournament held in Saudi Arabia, which is hosting the Super Cup for the third consecutive year.
Sergio Conceicao will lead his first game as Milan’s coach after taking over from Paulo Fonseca earlier this week.
