Infamous drug trafficker was apprehended on Friday in Mombasa, with what are thought to be narcotic substances confiscated from her residence.
Anita Michael was arrested by anti-narcotics detectives after receiving a tip-off from local residents in the Utange area.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that community members were “concerned about the influx of young people visiting her location for illegal supplies.”
“Conducting an unannounced raid before dawn, the officers recovered 100 pellets of a brownish powdery substance along with a quantity of suspected marijuana. Additionally, cash believed to be derived from her drug activities was also seized,” the DCI stated in a follow-up announcement.
The investigation is currently ongoing at the Bamburi Police Station.
