A student tragically lost his life after jumping from the 14th floor of an apartment building in the Kasarani area of Nairobi.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident as a potential suicide involving a male Tanzanian student from the United States International University (USIU).
At the time of the incident, he was in his second year of studies, according to police and fellow students.
The deceased left behind a suicide note directed to his parents, although the contents of the note have not been disclosed.
His body was found on Wednesday morning by other residents of the apartment complex shortly after the fall. Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei confirmed that an investigation is underway.
The student was living alone in his apartment at the time of the incident.
Law enforcement officials examined the scene and transported the body to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation.
