Residents of Igembe in Meru County are urging the authorities to take action against the growing threat posed by wildlife following a tragic incident in which a 90-year-old man was killed by an elephant.

This heartbreaking event, which occurred on Friday, came just after two women were seriously injured by an elephant in the same region.

Community members criticized the Kenya Wildlife Service for their lack of response to repeated warnings about the danger.

In their frustration, some residents took drastic measures and killed the elephant responsible for the man’s death.

They have vowed to continue such actions until the government intervenes effectively to address the issue.
