Kisii: Investigation launched after body of a bank teller found hanging from a rafter in a rental house

Authorities at Nyanchwa station in Kisii County are looking into a case involving a man suspected to have taken his own life, as his body was discovered hanging from a rafter in his residence.

A police report indicates that the lifeless body of Josiah Omwenga, a bank teller in Kisii town, was found late Friday night around 11:40 PM. The man, believed to be in his 30s, was identified as the deceased.

The specific circumstances surrounding his death remain ambiguous.

His body has been transferred to the mortuary at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for further examination.
