Traffic along Magadi Road has been severely affected following a protest by students from Multimedia University. The students claim they have been without water in their hostels and various areas of the campus for several days.

After formally notifying the administration of their planned strike the previous Thursday, they followed through with their protest on Tuesday morning.

The protesting students poured into the streets, obstructing a busy road and leaving motorists stranded for hours.

Student leader Naomi Oketch stated to Citizen Digital that the school administration has remained silent despite their ongoing requests for support.

“We felt compelled to strike because our appeals have gone unheard,” the students conveyed.

They highlighted the severe lack of internet access at the school, which is further hampering their academic progress.

“Several dormitories have broken electrical sockets, while some are missing study chairs. We’ve brought these concerns to attention, but our pleas for assistance have gone unanswered,” they added.
