Kenya Power has announced that there has been another nationwide blackout that has affected most of the country, six days after the last one.
The firm said in a statement on Friday that the North Rift and Western areas were unaffected by the blackout, although it did not disclose the source of it.
Kenya Power assured the population that their engineers were attempting to get everything back to normal.
“We are experiencing a power outage affecting several parts of the country, except sections of North Rift and Western regions. We apologise for the inconvenience and kindly ask for your patience as our engineers work swiftly to restore service…..We will keep you updated on the progress and share more information on the restoration efforts as soon as possible, the statement read in part.Â
With the exception of the North Rift and Western area, the majority of the nation was impacted by another blackout that occurred on August 30, 2024.
