The main suspect in the horrifyingly horrific killings of the people discovered in the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, in the Embakasi South Constituency, has been taken into custody.
Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, a resident of Vihiga County, has been named as the suspect. In 2022, Khalisi is said to have thrown his wife’s remains into the quarry.
The 33-year-old was discovered to be in possession of multiple SIM cards when he was apprehended at a Kayole bar. He is believed to have murdered the victims and covered their remains in plastic bags that were found at the dumpsite.
The suspect was taken to the Kiambu offices of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to await further police action.
