The list of objects discovered in the suspect’s possession in the Kware killings has been made public by Mohamed Amin, the Director of Criminal Investigations.
After being apprehended, he took police to his rented one-room apartment in Kware, which is roughly 100 meters from the quarry dam where the victims and body parts were found.
“His pursuit and subsequent arrest followed a very thorough forensic analysis of a mobile phone that belonged to one of the victims namely Josephine Owino where some mobile money transactions were conducted on the very day Josephine went missing,” the head of the DCI stated.
Amin claims that numerous items, including 24 SIM cards, 8 smartphones, 2 feature phones, a laptop, and a hard drive, had been found during his procession.
Detectives have found 12 nylon sacks similar to the ones used to stuff the remains, two flash drives, a memory card, and a machete—which they believe was used to dismember the victims.
Five rolls of cannabis sativa, two pink female underwear, one pink female handbag, six ID cards for men and women, four clear sellotapes, and a pair of industrial rubber gloves.
“Some of which were recovered at the scene.”
Two title deeds, two notebooks, a reflector jacket, and other papers were also found.
“On interrogation, the suspected confessed to have lured, killed and disposed 42 female bodies at the dumping site. All murdered between 2022 and as recent as July 11, 2024.”
On Monday morning, the suspect was taken into custody from his hiding place in Kayole.
The suspect stays roughly 100 meters away from the Kware dumpsite, where after an operation at least ten women’s severely disfigured bodies were found.
