Today, Thursday, July 11, at 2:00 p.m., President William Ruto will address the nation from State House in Nairobi.
Emmanuel Talam, the press secretary for the state house, made the announcement but declined to provide the agenda.
This occurs in the midst of growing expectation for President Ruto to revamp the Cabinet, as he was forced to do by the anti-government protests, to give in to the demands of irate Kenyans.
“It is something to think about it is something that will exercise my mind. I have heard you and it is something I will think about going into the future. That’s a possibility,” he said during a round-table discussion with digital journalists.
In less than three weeks, this will be his fourth state address.
In an effort to bring the nation’s budgetary expenditures into line, Ruto announced a number of austerity measures on July 5th, affecting several government departments.
