In order to allow for system maintenance, Kenya Power has informed consumers in three counties that it will not be supplying electricity on Friday.
The firm stated that parts of the counties of Uasin Gishu, Kisii, and Kiambu will be impacted by the planned outage.
Customers in Uasin Gishu will be affected, as are those in Kapseret Lembook.
Kenya Power announced in a notice to the public on Thursday night that power in Kapseret, Mosombor, Shajna & Quarry, Chinese Quarry, and Nilkath Quarry will be switched off from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
It stated that consumers who are close to the specified locations will also be impacted.
Specifically, Nyamataro, Nyakoe, and Mosocho are places of concern in Kisii County.
The temporary power outage is affecting a number of establishments, including Nyagena Hospital, Nyabururu Complex, and Cardinal Otunga.
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents of Kiamwasi, Nyakoe, Mosocho, Riotoigo, Matieko, a portion of Runga, Ongicha, and other areas will also be without electricity.
Kenya Power has advised homeowners and business owners in Kiambaa and Waguthu, in Kiambu County, to prepare for an eight-hour power outage between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Customers in Mugomoini, Nduota, Kwahai, along Waguthu Feede Road, and the surrounding clients would be impacted.
During the specified time, power outages will also affect Gichi Factory, Waguthu Water, Waguthu Police Station, Kiamba Boys High School, and Karuri County Offices.
