Reggae DJ Jahmby Koikai has passed away. Koikai passed away on Monday morning at around nine o’clock at the Nairobi hospital.

Fyah Mummah, the reggae queen, had been hospitalized and was pleading for blood donations.

Many of her fans on the internet expressed their sorrow, citing her as the source of their entertainment.

She used her X account to send a message to President Ruto on May 19, 2024, while he was visiting the US.

“This is a sincere call of help to a few Kenyan leaders but allow me to address this to President William Ruto first as he makes his state visit to the US. Mr. President, one of the thematic areas in your visit is investment in health,” she wrote.

“Atlanta, Georgia is a dream city for every young girl and woman who has ever battled this horrific disease called Endometriosis. Therein lies a centre dedicated to restoring the lives of young girls and women who are crippled by this disease.”

Njambi stated that following her efforts to raise money for specialized care, the disease had progressed to her appendix, teeth, and heart in addition to affecting her spine and shifting her organs to the left.

The veteran reggae DJ bemoaned the worsening of the problem due to a lack of treatment and a delayed diagnosis.

Jahmby continued by saying that she underwent multiple surgeries as a result of her lungs failing each month while she was menstruating.

The World Health Organization (WHO) describes endometriosis as an excruciating condition in which tissue that resembles the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, resulting in inflammation.

The condition can make it difficult for a person to get pregnant and cause excruciating pelvic pain.
