In connection with the murder of his nephew at the South Sakwa location in Bondo, Siaya County, a 30-year-old man has been taken into custody.
Leonard Ouma Agutu is thought to have been killed by the suspect, Vincent Otieno Onyango, during a fight while on a drinking spree.
Cleti Kimaiyo, the commander of Siaya County Police, reports that the suspect was taken into custody at a gold mining site in Gombe village.
He said that Otieno, the main suspect in Leonard’s death, is thought to have ambushed and attacked the victim as he was returning home.
This comes after the two got into a furious fight earlier that night while they were both on a drinking spree.
The suspect will be charged on Thursday at Bondo Law Courts while the inquiry is ongoing.
