Stores in the Juakali area of Nairobi, next to City Stadium on Landhies Road, have been completely destroyed by fire.

The area is well-known for producing large quantities of farm equipment like hoes and storage boxes, as well as household goods like wheelbarrows and culinary appliances like jikos.
The fire, which broke out around 6:00 p.m. and spread to a residential zone nearby, has not yet resulted in any casualties being recorded.
Drivers attempting to approach the Central Business District via Jogoo Road are urged to take alternate routes as police blocked off the outbound lane of Landhies Road.
