Kenyans will have access to nine court services from different Huduma Centres across the nation starting on January 29, 2024.
Among the services offered are the filing of new civil cases, the filing of papers in an ongoing case, general case inquiries, mention dates requested and received, and the ability to access virtual court links to obtain virtual court support.
Requesting and receiving sermons to enter appearance is another service. Notices to appear in divorce cases, extracted court orders and decrees, certified or uncertified proceedings, and copies of a verdict or judgment can all be accessed through the site.
E-filing support is the additional service. As part of the service, residents will receive assistance with setting up electronic filing accounts, recovering accounts and passwords, navigating the system, and using the Judiciary Public Information desk for self-help.
Kenyans will have the ability to pay fines and deposits at the Huduma centers that have been assigned.
The service will allow users to pay for all additional deposits as required by a court order, as well as receive payment invoices and pay penalties and cash bail.
Only the Huduma Centers at GPO Nairobi, City Square, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh, and Thika will offer the services.
